Construction Hey hey, welcome back to I Know a Girl, the cozy corner of the internet where we hype each other up, get a little raw and real, and remember, healing is hot. I'm your host, Morgan, and it's my birthday week, or at least when this airs, it will be the week of my birthday. And I'm so fucking excited. In fact, I'm so excited that I don't even know what the hell I'm gonna be doing on my birthday. I do know, however, I'll be spending the day before my birthday with a bunch of little baddies at my Regulate to Reconnect with Joy workshop with my sister-in-law Lex. So definitely get your tickets for that if you haven't already. But yeah, come spend the day before my birthday with me at our workshop. Other than that, I think I might go for a hike, invite some friends out to go for a hike, and maybe hit up a winery or two, get some of my favorite wines, and then end the night with dinner, or I don't know yet. Everything's kind of up in the air just yet. I plan on just going with the vibe when I wake up in the morning. However, I haven't really been able to talk about the women's expo that I did not too long ago at the local casino. And so, yeah, that's what I'm kind of gonna talk about today. So bear with me, okay? So, for starters, before I went to the business expo, I was super nervous. One, because this is not a business. I've told that many times in this podcast, this is not a business. It's literally just a passion project, right? And it was a women's business expo. So although many people had told me like I should go and promote the podcast, it'd be a great opportunity for that. I was also very hesitant because I wasn't technically a business in a room full of women that have actual businesses. And yes, I've had a business in the past, so I kind of, you know, know what I'm doing, but I just kind of felt like a little fraud, like a little imposter being there with, you know, women that actually had and was representing their own businesses. But I kind of got out of that little mindset that the podcast isn't a business because although it's not technically a business, I still have to treat it that way if I want it to be successful. But, anyways, back to the business expo. So I get there and it is downpouring. Like all morning long, it was downpouring. I meet up with my friend and we figure out where we're supposed to go to check in and get our badges. And so we get inside, we get all dried off, we get our tables all set up, and she her table looked amazing. She brought all sorts of goodies because she was promoting her bakery business. And oh my god, everything looked amazing. I could have spent my whole life savings on her entire table and then gained 200 pounds in the process, but I didn't. So, anyways, I'm sitting at my table, and people from the casino were just like, you know, walking through, breezing through. And the first few people that stopped at my booth were not so nice. I mean, the majority of them were little old ladies, and they one, either have never heard of what a podcast is, or two, they just had this like miserable energy to them that I really just wanted to tell them to go away. Choo-choo, you know, but I didn't. I was very nice and polite. However, I was not kind to myself while dealing with these people that were miserable. In fact, I kind of absorbed some of their miserableness. In fact, after one lady had picked up one of the cups that I engraved and was there selling, she proceeded to ask me, This is a coffee cup? And I said, Yep. She goes, You made this? And I said, No, I engraved the words that are on the side of it. And uh she proceeded to make this like huh noise and then place it down on the table and walk away. So, yeah, and then there was uh quite a few people that just made like some really icky comments about some of the stuff that I had on my table, or even just like their opinion about podcasts in general, that I took a little too hard, I took a little bit too hard on myself and took it to heart. Because I mean, I really was I when I went, I was just in this nice like frequency or energy of like being excited about what was to come. And then with the first four or five people that I spoke to just had this negative to this to them, it rubbed me the wrong way. And I got all up in my head and I was doubting myself. And so, about I think it was probably like an hour, hour and a half in to the event, my husband showed up out of nowhere and literally turned my frown upside down. And I don't want to sit there and say that I was like sitting there miserably, but I was keeping to myself and I wasn't, you know, being my bubbly outgoing self, like saying hi to people as they were going by. I was kind of just had my head in my phone and trying to avoid contact eye contact at all possible, which for anybody that knows me personally knows that I am the girl that always gives eye contact. Like I am giving you all of my attention every single time that you speak because I'm respectful, right? So if you see me not giving you eye contact or I'm keeping my head in my phone, I'm very much in my head trying to escape reality. And so my husband shows up and my whole mood just flipped because it meant so much to me that he came to stop by and say hi and show his support. Soon after him being there with me, my friend that had the bakery business paid for me to have a Reiki session. And so there was another woman there that was giving out Reiki sessions. Well, she wasn't giving them out, but she was providing them with, you know, a donation. And so I went over and I sat there getting my Reiki done, and my husband manned my booth the entire time. And the funny part is, is when I was done with it, I came back to sit down and he said uh that a couple of people had stopped by, looked at my stuff, quite a few people took some business cards, and he was so nervous that he would have to give somebody a tarot reading, and he's never given a tarot reading before. So thankfully he didn't have to give any tarot readings, but it just thought that it was kind of comical that somebody that I have always been inspired by and look up to was nervous to even sit at my booth and talk to people for me. But, anyways, he ended up leaving and going and seeing the kids and being with the kids because kids couldn't come. You have to be 21 or older in order to get in the casino. But he went back home to the kids and had a great afternoon with them. And after he had left, the amount of people that just kept coming to my booth like literally amazed me. Like, people were just coming to like say hi or check out my stuff, and even more people were taking some of my business cards, and so I thought it was really cool. I actually thought that, like, thinking back now, after seeing my husband and having the Reiki done, my whole mood and perspective had changed because after I got the Reiki done, the woman that gave me Reiki came over to my booth and she saw that I was doing tarot readings for free, and she erased the free off of my sign and told me, people aren't gonna get readings from you if they're free because they're not gonna see a value in it. You have to charge for your time, you have to charge for your value. And so I put a dollar per card on my sign, and wouldn't you know, quite a few people then started coming for readings. So I thought that was pretty badass. In fact, one person, well, two people that got readings loved their readings so much that they ended up buying my coffee mugs that I made with I had engraved some affirmations on the side of them, and they absolutely adored it. And after they had left, quite a few people came up and they were checking out my booth and they were looking at the little trinket boxes that I had, and one lady wanted to come back and buy one, but I think she either was too busy playing on the machine or just decided to not come back. But either way, it was it was a great time. And had I just not absorbed those miserable people's energy in the beginning, I feel like the whole entire day would have gone well. But you know what? I learned a lesson that people are gonna say and do whatever they want, and I need to try my best to realize that that's a projection of themselves, not a projection of myself. So let this be a reminder or even just a like lesson for anybody else listening that the way that you view yourself is how others are going to view you. So, you know, after I got my Reiki session done, I was then looking at myself as, you know, my happy, go-lucky self again. And and my husband coming to visit me kind of just solidified that mindset even more for me because I was so excited to see him and have him support me that I forgot about the miserable old ladies that were there saying mean things to me before. So, yeah, let this be a lesson to anybody else that you know the way that you view yourself is how other people are gonna start seeing you too. So if you see yourself as happy and bubbly, other people are gonna see you as happy or bubbly. And stop absorbing other people's negative energy. It has nothing to do with you. Literally, it has nothing to do with you, and it has everything to do with them because only they can control how they act and respond to you. Right? Right. And so if they are giving their shitty energy to you, it's because they feel shitty about themselves. Alright, well, into our little joys of the week. My little joy of the week is that it's my fucking birthday week and I don't need any other little joys. However, I do have a couple of little joys, other than the fact that my workshop with my sister is this coming weekend, but I've been spending a lot of time with people that I love. And it's really helping my perspective on things, it's really keeping me in that high energy, that high frequency that I should always be in. And so not only do I need to love myself and not absorb other people's energy, but I need to love myself and keep surrounding myself with those that love me and want good for me. I don't know if I have told you not, but it's kind of not a little joy. But the local neighborhood bunnies have gotten to my garden, and I only have a few plants left, other than the strawberry patch. The strawberry patch is still going and thriving, and uh the strawberries are getting pretty big. Now I'm just waiting for them to turn from yellow green to that juicy red, and then I'll be making all sorts of stuff with it, whether it be strawberry shortcake. I think I'm gonna try my hand at strawberry jam this year. Yeah, I'm very excited to just be picking the fruits of my labor. And uh, I think there's still like one pepper plant left. There's one cucumber, one squash, and I think that's it, because my beans got eaten, and everything else either got eaten or fried by the sun because I was kind of silly and didn't go water the garden on one of those scorching hot days. But you know what? We live and we learn. Another little joy of the week that I've had is our business is changing locations. We are moving into a bigger shop, and it is a process, it has been a very stressful process because this business is my husband's baby, and so he's very particular about things, and it's just been different. Um, any other time that we have moved locations before, we've had employees to help my husband move, and this time it's just me and a couple of our friends, so yeah, it's been very stressful. He has been getting in his head a little bit, and I have to kind of remind him to pull his head out of his ass. But everything's going smoothly. We've had a couple of bumps in the road, but we didn't let it, you know, get us down, and we picked ourselves back up. We've been chugging along, and everything's been going very, very smoothly. So yeah, I'm very happy about it. You'll have to come visit us at our new location if you need any vehicle repairs done, or if you're in the season to buy a new vehicle, definitely hit us up and see what we got for you because we do that too. Alright, I suppose we should get into our horoscope hype for this episode, and then I can get into our tarot readings. Alright, so we're starting with Aries. Aries, June starts with you realizing you're done chasing anyone. The summer isn't for double texting, waiting around, or proving your worth to people who should have seen it from day one. Your new vibe is moving different, keeping your head high and never explaining why someone lost access to you. You don't have to be the sun for people who prefer the shade. What's meant for you will always find you. What leaves is just making room. Taurus. June is your sign to stop putting your life on pause. Summer is finally here, reminding you that you weren't made for stress and drama. You were made for a soft life, endless pampering, and pure romance. Ahead of you are ice drinks, late night talks, and those what are we wearing tonight texts? Take more pictures, romanticize the little things, and laugh until your stomach hurts. The summer isn't waiting for you to be perfect. It's here to bring the real you back to life. Gemini, June is your reset. You're going to clear those deadlines, pass your exams, and step into a summer with a completely clean slate. Relax, Diva, you're getting it all done, even if May dreamed you in all your energy. By mid month, summer brings back free evenings, road trips, iced drinks, late sunsets, and zero guilt about resting. Your summer officially begins the exact second the hard work is over. You've got this, and the best is yet to come. Cancers June marks the official start of your healing energy. The first month of summer is gently bringing you back to yourself. Waking up feels lighter. Ordinary things no longer feel like a marathon, and that heavy weight in your chest is finally gone. You're choosing yourself, your peace, your little joys, and the people who make your soul feel safe. This next chapter is deeply personal. Your spark is coming back, and this summer you're going to shine brighter than ever before. Leo's June is officially your prime era. You're looking better, prioritizing yourself, and finally cutting off the people who only watch and talk. Lock in, girl, it's your turn to shock everyone. While they're still trying to figure out your next move, you're already flipping your hair, upgrading your plans, and leveling up your life. Your real flex is looking good and doing even better. This month is all about being luxurious, collected, and way too busy growing. Virgos. In June, you're done trying to control everything. You finally realize you're not a machine. You need real conversations, loud laughter, slow mornings, and moments when your phone is just lost at the bottom of your bag. Your life doesn't have to be perfect to make room for happiness. Sometimes the best plan is simply saying, okay, and going where you actually feel good. Let this month flow by your energy, not your schedule. Just live it for yourself. Libras. June brings a softer kind of romance into your life. No more emotional roller coasters. You want sunset walks, pretty date nights, and sweet, effortless plans. You want someone who makes Mary Tuesday feel like a movie scene. This month is all about the kind of love that doesn't confuse your heart. It just makes your days brighter, your texts warmer, and your summer feel exactly how it's always supposed to be. Scorpios, in June you choose your piece. You're done providing your worth, begging for basic respect, or sending paragraphs just to get a dry okay in return. You don't fix what you didn't break. No more overexplaining yourself. Raising grown adults isn't your job. Whatever they do next is on them. As for you, you're moving forward. Free, at peace, and completely unavailable to anyone who took your presence for granted. Sagittarius. June is bringing the trip you've been waiting for. Summer is finally here, and staying put is no longer an option. I'm talking a new city, your favorite dress, salty hair, late night dinners, and a camera roll full of memories. It's all calling your name. Don't talk yourself out of it just because it feels too bold. The world is too big to stay in your room, so say yes to the adventure you'll look back on with your whole heart. Go live it. Capricorns June is officially your money era. As summer begins, you're attracting the kind of wealth that brings peace, not chaos. Stop scrolling through Pinterest. You're finally living your vision board. Endless summer nights, effortless brunches with friends, fully paid bills, and that quiet confidence and financial freedom are all waiting for you. And no, it's not just luck. It's because you're building the future you truly deserve. Aquarius. In June you no longer try to be understood by everyone. Someone wants to misread you, okay, let them. You don't need to prove your logic, justify your choices, or explain yourself to people who refuse to get you. This month gets so much lighter the moment you let people think whatever they want. Freedom starts looking better than approval. Your desires and your weird little decisions and your own rhythm finally come first. Pisces. In June you stop romanticizing what hurts you. Pretty words no longer excuse inconsistency. The bare minimum no longer feels like effort, and confusion no longer feels like romance. You are far too deep, too alive, and too beautiful to be someone's maybe. Do yourself a favor and take mixed signals as a clear no. This summer is taking off your rose colored glasses, not to break your heart, but to finally bring you back to yourself. All right, so the card that we pulled is the page of cups. And the page of cups in reverse suggests emotional naivety and the facing of insecurities or disappointments. It highlights potential creative blocks or the need to mature in handling new ideas and emotional expressions. So, much like the beginning of this episode when I had spoken about all the miserable old ladies that stopped at my booth at the Women's Business Expo, I uh it caused me to be insecure about myself. And I was disappointed, not only with myself for letting myself enjoy or absorb their energy, but because I let it affect the rest of my day until my husband came to see me and I got my reiki. So yeah, this is definitely calling me out that I need to get out of my head before I create any potential blocks with my creativity. It's amazing how the universe calls me out every single time that I do one of these. Well, I suppose I should get out of your hair and so you can enjoy the rest of your day. I hope I uh brought some different perspectives to you. And I hope I see you guys this weekend at my Regulate to Reconnect with Joy workshop with my sister Lex. We're gonna have tons of fun. Tickets are $40, and the workshop is at her office in Victor. So yeah, definitely stop in. We're gonna have a lot of fun. It's definitely gonna be worth it. And if you haven't already, go leave me a review anywhere that you listen to these podcasts. You can follow me on socials, I'm on Facebook at I KnowA Girl Podcast. I'm on Instagram at inowagirl.pod, and I'm on TikTok at i dot know.a.girl.pod. But yeah, definitely want to hear from you. I want to hear whether you like this episode or not. I know you're probably not gonna tell me if you don't like it, but I would love to hear if you don't like it. I'm not going to get upset about it. I'm just looking, looking for ideas, looking to improve. So yeah, I hope you guys have a great week. I know I am going to. And uh yeah, definitely spoil yourself. If you can't come see me on my birthday or anything like that this weekend, at least spoil yourself in honor of your dear friend Morgan and her 34th birthday this week. So I just want everybody to be happy, and so yeah, if spoiling yourself in honor of me makes you happy, well then hell yeah, do it all the fucking time. We're gonna have a great week. I'm gonna have a great birthday, and I can't wait to report back next Tuesday. So I love you guys. I'll see you soon. Bye.
